Nonviolent communication and organizations
May 4th, 2008Communicating with NVC (Wikipedia) requires adopting practices of observation, and reduced dependence on certain methods of criticism and judgement.
I found these guidelines helpful, both to re-orient strategic communications and to re-frame communication in difficult organizations:
- Forget about your commodity; focus on your relationships
- Forget about your difficulties; focus on your progress
- Forget about the “future”; focus on today
